Born from a legacy of resistance. Built to honor those who risked everything so we could walk free.
The Underground Railroad was not a railroad at all — it was a secret network of safe houses, courageous conductors, and freedom seekers who defied the most brutal system in American history. Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, and thousands of unnamed heroes risked their lives to guide over 100,000 enslaved people to freedom. UGRR Clothing Co. was born to honor that legacy.
Harriet Tubman made her first escape from slavery in 1849 and returned 13 times to lead over 70 enslaved people to freedom. She famously said: "I never ran my train off the track, and I never lost a passenger." Her courage is the heartbeat of the UGRR movement — and every shirt we make carries that spirit forward.
The 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution formally abolished slavery in 1865. The conductors and passengers of the Underground Railroad paved the road to this moment. Their sacrifice, their courage, and their refusal to accept oppression changed the course of history. We wear their story every day.
UGRR Clothing Co. LLC is a proudly 100% Black-owned business that transforms that heritage into wearable art. Every design is a conversation — about where we came from, what was sacrificed, and where we are going. When you wear UGRR, you don't just wear a shirt. You carry a legacy.
